Easy Grilled Salmon Steaks Recipes


These salmon steaks have zip, thanks to the hot peppers. Cod steak works well, too, but do not use salted cod in this dish.


  • 3 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp crushed garlic

  • 1 tsp crushed hot pepper or 2 tsp hot pepper sauce

  • 6 salmon steaks, 2 cm/Y4 in thick and weighing about 175 g/6 oz each

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, garlic and hot pepper or hot pepper sauce.

  2. Brush the grill rack with oil and preheat the grill. Grill the salmon steaks for about 10 to 12 minutes on one side, basting frequently with the sauce, then turn and cook on the other side for another 10 to 12 minutes, again basting frequently, until done but not overcooked.
