Asparagus with Smoked Salmon and Black Sesame Seeds


Serve: 6


Ingredients:

  • 18 slices smoked salmon

  • 18 asparagus spears (try to pick fat asparagus spears as it is usually much more tender)

  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds

  • Kosher salt

Methods:

  1. Use vegetable peeler to peel the stalks of the asparagus spears.

  2. Trim the asparagus spears into 5 inch lengths.

  3. Bring a large pot of water to boil.

  4. Add some salt into the boiled water and add the asparagus into it.

  5. Cook for around 3 minutes until it is tender crisp.

  6. Take out the asparagus and put it into ice water for 5 minutes.

  7. Drain and dry the asparagus.

  8. Wrap the asparagus with the salmon slices.

  9. Place some black sesame seeds on a plate then roll the salmon over the black sesame seeds so that the black sesame seeds is covered across evenly.

  10. Arrange the spears nicely on a plate and ready to be served.
